Angelina Jolie Dumped by St. John

Angelina Jolie has been dropped as the face of a fashion house – because she is too famous.
Luxury knitwear firm St John is replacing her with red-headed model Karen Elson because Jolie “overshadowed the brand”.
Boss Glenn McMahon told fashion industry paper Women’s Wear Daily: “We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes. Three years is a long time for any campaign.”
The adverts featuring Elson, 30 – wife of White Stripes rocker Jack White – will appear next month.

That Angelina Jolie has been withdrawn from the St John knitting advertisement cannot be any good news for her fans. The reason cited behind such decision by Boss Glenn McMahon is so flimsy that kids will laugh. The statement that ‘Three years is a long time for any campaign’ is not at all acceptable. Remember please how the Chaplin magic does works still in the Cherry Blossom’s advertisement world wide. People are great and they will definitely welcome Elson, Jack White’s wife. But I feel there is some thing missing in the news presented in the blog.
