]]> Actress Brittany Murphy has been laid to rest in a small, private funeral in Hollywood.

The ‘Clueless’ star passed away on December 20 after suffering a cardiac arrest at her Hollywood Hills home. She was 32, New York Daily News reported.

An autopsy was completed but the cause of Murphy’s death has been “deferred” pending toxicology results.

Officials previously stated they believe the star died from natural causes. Murphy’s widower, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, and her mother Sharon joined close family and friends at Los Angeles’ Forest Lawn Memorial Park Thursday afternoon to pay their last respects to the late star in an invitation-only ceremony.

’24′ actor Eric Balfour served as one of the pallbearers at the service, which was presided over by both a Christian minister and a rabbi.

]]> Brittany Murphy’s will leaves her estate to her mother, Sharon Murphy. According to reports, the will was drawn up and executed before Murphy was married to screenwriter Simon Monjack in 2007.

Murphy, 32, died of cardiac arrest on Sunday. Her death is being investigated by the Los Angeles Police department. Autopsy results are pending.

]]> Brittany Murphy, the 32 year-old actress best known for energetic roles in “Clueless,” “8 Mile” and “Sin City,” died at 10:04 a.m. PT on Sunday (Dec 20) in Los Angeles, a spokesperson for Cedars Sinai Hospital confirmed.

The spokesperson would not provide further details, but TMZ.com reported that the actress went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived. The Los Angeles Times reports that the city’s police department has opened a preliminary investigation into Murphy’s death.

A rep for the actress reportedly told TMZ: “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”
