For Taylor Swift, stardom is clearly a walk in the park.

The pop phenom was spotted yesterday taking a leisurely stroll through London’s Hyde Park, shrugging off gloomy weather with a large umbrella and listening to music on her iPod.

Swift looked ultra-relaxed in a black jacket, adorable cat-print skirt and black tights as she checked out the park’s beautiful swans and bird sculptures.

But the pop star also made one important stop along the way…

En route, Swift swung by the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain, where she paused to read the memorial’s plaque and pay her respects. Consider it a fitting salute from country music royalty to British royalty.

The day wasn’t an all-out solo sojourn for the singer-songwriter, though. Per the Daily Mail, Swift also hit up West London’s Portobello Road, popping into an antique shop and a chocolatier, where she snapped up some goodies.

Swift is reportedly in London to meet with über-producer Cameron Mackintosh about a starring role in the highly anticipated Les Misérables movie, which hits theater in December.

The film’s A-list cast includes Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Sacha Baron Cohen, and it’s already being touted as a big contender in next year’s Oscar race.

In wins announced before the start of the show, Swift nabbed victories in two categories. When MTV News caught up with Swift at the start of the evening, she was already having trouble processing the significance of those wins.

“I’m so excited. I can’t believe it,” she said. “Whenever I used to write with people in Nashville and I would go into their houses and they had Grammys on their pianos or something like that, I’d always walk over and stare at them and have conversations with them, these little Grammy Awards. I can’t believe I get to have two of them now.”

By the night’s end, she’d add two more Grammys to her growing collection, from eight total nominations. Her Album of the Year win came as something of a surprise, given Beyoncé’s strong showing throughout the show (the R&B singer finished up with six trophies). The breathless Swift took the stage and thanked her family watching back in Nashville.

“It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends,” a source close to Swift told UsMagazine.com. “There was no chemistry, and it felt contrived.”

Fans couldn’t get enough of the same-name duo, who met on the set of their movie “Valentine’s Day” (out Feb. 12th) in October. But their three-month fling was not meant to be.

“He liked her more than she liked him,” said the source. “He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn’t travel much to see him.”

This break up seems to be going much better than Swift’s split from singer Joe Jonas, who dumped her via a 27-second phone call in 2008, prompting the seemingly sweet Swift to skewer him in her song “Forever and Always.”

During the past 12 months, Swift has won numerous awards for her latest project, Fearless. The album is now quintuple platinum for shipments of more than 5 million copies. At one point in 2009, she had eight songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

She also headlined a 52-city tour of North America, hosted Saturday Night Live and gained even more national attention when Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Earlier this month, she received eight nominations for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards. The winners will be announced Jan. 31 in Los Angeles.

“She trusts Taylor but it drives her crazy to see Kristen hanging off him all the time,” says a source. “She doesn’t buy the whole notion that Kristen only has eyes for Robert Pattinson. She believes she’s secretly longing to get her hooks into Taylor even though they’re just good friends.”

Swift, 19, and Lautner, 17, were first linked in October. Swift previously dated Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas. Lautner has been linked to Disney star Selena Gomez.
