Hilary Duff Engaged to Hockey Player Beau

Hilary Duff has scored a proposal from hockey player Mike Comrie.

The Edmonton Oilers player gave the 22-year-old star an engagement ring while the duo were vacationing in Hawaii, People.com reports.

“After having been together for over two years, they are very excited to share this happy news,” Duff’s rep Nanci Ryder told the magazine. “They are thankful for all of your warm wishes.”

The announcement does not come as too much of a surprise. Bauer-Griffin’s blog posted photos early on Feb. 19 of what appeared to be Comrie proposing to Duff on bended knee in a hotel room. The actress can be seen with her mouth agape as she seems to look down at the engagement ring in Comrie’s hand.

Comrie, 29, a former player for the New York Islanders, is often cheered on by Duff at his games.

Meanwhile, Comrie is a frequent fixture at Duff’s various press functions.
