Jay Leno No Longer On Life Support: NBC Pulls The Plug

What started out as a great accomplishment for a late night talk show host to go primetime is no more.  NBC has announced that the Jay Leno Show will go back to being viewed at 11:35pm.  Many experts believed the show was losing viewers, but it was the financial backlash other industries were receiving.

The biggest issue was that the Jay Leno Show wasn’t leading the viewers into the late news broadcasts.  We wouldn’t blame a solitary soul for switching channels after Jay.  Seriously, who wants to hear about robberies, car accidents, kidnappings, and bad weather after watching Jay?

What does this do for everyone else?  Well, Jimmy Fallon isn’t going to like moving back to a 1am program.  Then of course Conan O’Brian wouldn’t start until 12:05am.  While it all looks great on paper, there are no records of the other two late night hosts agreeing with the issue.  Leno will be back to his normal schedule on Feb. 12th, 2010.
