Jennifer Aniston to Host Benefit for Haiti
Jennifer Aniston is rounding up her friends for a night at the movies — for Haiti relief. A rep for Aniston confirms to UsMagazine.com that the actress will be hosting a benefit screening to raise money for AmeriCares and its efforts in earthquake-ravaged Haiti.
According to E! News, her screening of the Oscar-nominated film The Last Station takes place later this month, and will include a cocktail reception with the director following the movie.
Ticket prices for the charity event reportedly range from $100 per ticket to $50,000.
It’s not Aniston’s first foray into fundraising for Haiti. Soon after she answered phones at the all-star Hope for Haiti Now telethon Jan. 22, it was reported that she distributed $500,000 among various charities, including AmeriCares, Doctors Without Borders and Partners in Health.
