Jessica Simpson: “I Never Flirted With Tiger Woods!”

The new issue of Star magazine devotes its cover to a “shocking story” about an encounter between the 33 year-old golfer and Simpson, 29, during a July 2009 golf tournament. Star claims that the pair flirted heavily in the presence of Simpson’s then-boyfriend Tony Romo, and that they exchanged text messages days later.
“I can’t believe that I’m on the cover of star magazine with Tiger Woods, what a JOKE! ‘The Shocking Inside Story’ is A LIE!” the singer Twittered Wednesday.
“No part of this story is true,” a Simsons source scoffs to Usmagazine. The pal explains that Woods and Simpson indeed attended the same AT&T National Pro-Am golf tournament in Bethesda, Md., where they were photographed with Romo.
“They met quickly and took a photo together,” the insider says. “She was only there for a few hours to sing the national anthem.”
