Lost Final Season Premiere Might Not Be Seen On Feb. 2nd

That’s right!  The final installment of ABC’s Lost is set for a February 2nd, 2010 premiere.  However, thanks to President Obama’s State of the Union Address it could vanish much like the island.  It is set as a two hour entry to the shows last season.  If officials decide to hold Obama’s speech on the same day, ABC is ready to push the show back to February 9th.

The good news is that the White House is also considering a January 26th date.  Obviously this would allow “Lost” to air its premiere at the original time, but ABC has no say it what happens.  All they can do is wait and make the appropriate switch if it is necessary.  No reps for ABC have commented on the extra work that would come into play if they need to advertise a new time the following week.

All we can say is if Obama was able to take time out of his busy schedule to provide the world with a 2009 March Madness bracket, he can surely bypass Feb. 2nd for a show that is making its last go round over 6 seasons.  We’ll just have to wait and see.

  1. One of the long running serial drama for almost five years with long fan followers, I believe ABC Studios will not put a brake on this series as Final installment. Even though it’s official, I want another installment. Regarding with clash of dates, I would chide for a postponement of President address.
