Mandel to Replace Hasselhoff on “America’s Got Talent”

Comedian Howie Mandel will replace former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff as a judge on America’s Got Talent.

The funnyman will join rock matriarch Sharon Osbourne and British journalist Piers Morgan on the hit TV show when it returns for its fifth season later this year, according to Life & Style magazine.

Hasselhoff announced his departure from America’s Got Talent last Wednesday, revealing he was moving on to work on his own program.

He said in a statement, “It’s been a rewarding experience and now I’m thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly.”

Mandel’s new role on America’s Got Talent marks his return to U.S. TV screens after game show Deal Or No Deal, which he presented, was canceled early last year.

  1. Howie Mandel has always irritated me. I wish Hasselhoff would stay. He can be a bit annoying at times too but nothing like Mandel. Not sure how much I will watch this show now.
