Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Fight Definitely Off…For Now

The merry-go-round continues as both parties should just agree to disagree.  After several attempts to produce a fair and prosperous fight, the Floyd Mayweather camp supposedly refused the final terms of the agreement.  This is one fight the boxing world DOES NOT want to let go.  Due to the popularity of the UFC, it could hurt the sport of boxing as a whole.

According to recent reports, the drug testing issue was resolved in the Pacquiao camp when he agreed to take the Mayweather testing procedure.  In fact, Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum has publicly said that Manny even was will to reduce the original random test before the fight from 30 days to 24.  However, Mayweather continued to reject the terms unless Pacquiao agreed to take a blood test after the fight.

This long and drawn out saga has become more of a soap opera than anything.  Both parties are doing nothing but accusing the other.  Both fighters will grab other opponents around the March 13th date they were supposed to tangle with one another.  It just isn’t going to do the boxing world any good until the two best fighters are able to get in the ring together.  It was reported that the fight could have made around $200 million through pay-per-view.
