Naomi Campbell Driver Takes Blame for Attack

The chauffeur who accused supermodel Naomi Campbell of assaulting him is apologizing to her. He says it was all a misunderstanding.

Driver Miodrag Mejdina said through his lawyer Thursday that he “got angry and overreacted” when he told police Campbell attacked him from the back seat of a car in Manhattan on Tuesday.

Mejdina said he regrets involving the police. He said the incident was “blown out of proportion” and he wants to apologize to Campbell “for causing that to happen.”

The 27-year-old driver had already decided not to press charges.

Campbell has faced a series of lawsuits and criminal cases accusing her of attacking household employees and two police officers at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Her spokesman did not return a call seeking comment.
