Nicole Scherzinger Splits From Lewis Hamilton

Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton have split after two years together, it was announced on Monday.

The Hawaiian pop star, 31, and British racing driver, 25, said they were putting their careers first, The Sun reported.

A statement from their spokesman confirmed: “They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends.”

Hamilton is preparing for a tough time in his bid to win back the F1 crown he first won in 2008.

Scherzinger, who once called Hamilton her “soulmate”, is also busy planning a solo album with Pharrell Williams and pursuing acting roles.

The pair met at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich in November 2007 and began dating the following year.
