Robert Downey Jr. is Not Welcome in Japan
In an interview with David Letterman, Robert Downey Jr. revealed he was detained in Japan last year while promoting ‘Iron Man.’ Downey said he was interrogated at a Japanese airport for old felony convictions.
“I think it has something to do with my fairly distant past,” Downey said.
“Not recent stuff like you or Tiger,” he joked of Letterman’s sex scandal and Tiger Woods’ affairs.
“I probably should have seen there was a sign that said ‘No Felons Allowed’ in English and Japanese, and I haven’t had that expunged yet. You can actually get things expunged but I’ve been pretty busy. So I was detained. I was interrogated. It was a blast,” he added.
