Terrell Owens Loses Twitter Bet: Bentley On The Line

Terrell Owens Loses Twitter Bet: Bentley On The Line

It’s funny how the colorful players in the NFL can find a way into the headlines in a down season.  Now reports have surfaced that Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens made a bet with a fan on his Twitter page and lost.  So of course the individual T.O. made the bet with is trying to collect.  Who would blame him, it’s only a Bentley!

The original bet was made when Owens said he would catch at least 10 TDs this year for the Bills or he would hand over the keys to his ride.  Oddly enough it was T.O.’s rep that did the talking this time and told reporters there was no realistic bet made.  According to the rep it was simply all in good fun.

However, if the fan can prove that the bet was made with him from T.O.s “tweets” we can see how this could be some sort of cyberspace legal agreement.  It would be nice to see a court rule in the fan’s favor. Unfortunately he probably doesn’t have the means to fight T.O. in court.  Too bad Bill’s fan.

  1. As a fan of NFL, I will ask the fan to fight with T.O. to handover the Bentley. but in the namesake of NFL and Bills, I would just like to see it’s all not claimed in courtroom. As it could be a real mess and cannot prove at the end of the day, as I worry with tweeter as your evidence you can prove your bet, if it’s accepted at the first place.
